What to know about Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are pharmaceutical products designed to add volume to the point where they are injected. Therefore, they are used when there's a need to increase the volume of selected areas or to correct various types of depressions. You should know that the most common fillers currently use Hyaluronic Acid as their molecule, produced in different densities depending on the use. Following closely, and increasingly popular, you might have heard of Calcium Hydroxyapatite or Radiesse, which, like Hyaluronic Acid, is a resorbable molecule.

One of the most common uses of fillers is to soften facial lines and wrinkles, though they are also used in other areas, such as the back of the hands. In their denser forms, they serve as fillers for natural, post-surgical, or scar depressions. Conversely, fillers can be used to increase the volume of specific areas, typically on the face. The lips, cheek area, jawline, and chin are the most frequently treated areas. Notably unique is the use of fillers to modify the shape of the nose, known as Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty or Rinofiller. The feasibility of this procedure depends on your skin type and the initial size of your nose. The filler, while altering the nose's shape, adds volume, so it is less suitable for noses that are already large by nature. As I mentioned earlier, fillers aren't permanent but last between 6 and 16 months, depending on the concentration and quantity injected. I advise you to refrain from intense physical activities for the first 12 hours. However, you can return to work immediately.
