BEFORE THE CONSULTATION
BEFORE THE CONSULTATION
At this stage, I would ask you to focus on what you believe to be your problem, whether it's the upper eyelid, the lower eyelid or, as often happens, both.
THE CONSULTATION
THE CONSULTATION
During our first meeting, after listening to what you have to tell me, I will examine your eyelids in detail, assessing the overall situation, what needs to be corrected and to what extent.
Typically, the focus of this evaluation is on any excess skin or on the protrusion of the eyelid bags.
BEFORE THE PROCEDURE
BEFORE THE PROCEDURE
It's the right time to undergo blood tests and an electrocardiogram.
I advise you, at this stage, to think about what we have discussed. Contact me in case of any last doubts. Everything should be clear to you.
THE SURGERY
THE SURGERY
You are now well aware that this procedure varies in duration from 45 to 90 minutes, it is most commonly performed under sedation with local anesthesia. Quite often it involves a discharge on the same day. A night stay is possible though.
With this operation, we usually correct an excess of skin or the protrusion of the eyelid bags. Less commonly do we act on the eyebrows.
AFTER THE PROCEDURE
AFTER THE PROCEDURE
I will personally see you again 5-7 days after the actual surgery to remove the stitches.
Recovery is quick for the upper eyelid, a bit slower for the lower one. You will be able to return to work in 1-2 weeks. Intense sports activities can be resumed only after 3-4 weeks.
The scars are usually very minimally visible or not visible at all in the long run.
